„Construction of the Intercity Road Katowice - Gliwice”, colloquially called ‘średnicówka’ or ‘deteeśka’ (DTŚ) – a fast road connecting six cities: Katowice, Chorzów, Świętochłowice, Ruda Śląska, Zabrze and Gliwice.

DTŚ starts in Katowice and ends in Gliwice. DTŚ has been constantly under construction, for more than ten years, with some breaks. A tunnel with our channels under gen. Ziętek roundabout was put into service on 9 December 2006; the contractor: Skanska.

A tunnel with our channels in Gliwice was put into service in March 2016. The contractor of the tunnel was Bilfinger, currently PORR
