Monoblock ME channels without side support up to class E600 (cast iron grate free)

MONOBLOCK ME channels are characterized by a monolithic structure made of polymer concrete. Due to its high chemical and mechanical resistance and practically no water absorption, this solution can be used without a concrete side support up to the load class E600.

What is a linear drainage system?

A linear drain is a system made of channels covered typically with a steel grate. Linear drains are designed to collect and drain rainwater or other leakages from paved surfaces. This solution is used wherever standing water is a threat to safety and infrastructure. They are intended to be used in demanding facilities such as tunnels, highways, car parks and airports as well as logistics centers, petrol stations, car park entrances, etc. The selection of the appropriate drainage system depends on the place where the system is planned to be installed. The designer of the infrastructure surface and sanitary installation is responsible for its proper selection.

Characteristics of monoblock ducts

ME monoblock channels are available in three heights (H = 380mm, H = 430mm or H = 480mm). The system is cast-iron grating free using them only on the inspection elements and drainage chambers. The system includes: 1m ducts, 0.5m long inspection chambers, 0.5m long drainage chambers, full end caps, end caps with a drain pipe and cast iron grates. Installation of a linear drainage (up to class E600)

1. Execution of the excavation of the appropriate width, to later prepare the concrete footing.
2. Channel positioning.
3. Installation of closing walls (front) and connection of points draining water to the sewage system.
4. Installation of filling material up to the final level of the pavement.
5. Cleaning and fixing work of the structure.
6. Sealing.

Application of monoblock channels

MONOBLOCK ME channels are characterized by a monolithic structure made fully of polymer concrete. This solution can be used without a concrete side support up to the load class E600, which significantly shortens the installation time. In practice, this means that only in areas with high mechanical loads as for class F900, such as airports or military facilities would be necessary to make a concrete band to enclose the MONOBLOCK ME. In both cases, a concrete footing under the channel is required. Metal and cast iron elements are present only on inspection elements and drainage chambers, thus minimizing the potential removal of grates and/or their destruction, e.g. with chemical compounds.

MONOCBLOK ME is especially appreciated at petrol stations, sewage treatment plants, reloading docks in ports, and general industrial sites.
